Upcoming Central Coast Wine Tasting and Winery Events

Jan 21 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Encore! L.A.'s Mary Scholz Returns @ Sculpterra Winery | Paso Robles | CA | United States
1:00 pm
Mary Scholz tours all over the US, Europe and the UK. She’s played several of our events, including tributes to James Taylor and Joni Mitchell. We featured her at Sculpterra last October. The Philadelphia-born, Los Angeles-based artist is best known for her warm, lyrical voice, her folk-rock melodies, her thoughtful guitar work, and her personal connection to her audience on stage. Much of Scholz’s material addresses transition, with bittersweet melodies and lyrics that speak of the importance of knowing yourself, and the strength it takes to trust your intuition – to always move forward. Mary’s current album (available on CD and vinyl LP!) is entitled “California”. Here’s a video preview, https://youtu.be/hZEHdECFSQY Special guests include Megan Steinke, Kevin Graybill, Nick Brittan, and Will Breman. The showcase includes one featured act, playing a 45-minute set, and others playing 4-song sets. We pass the tip jar during the featured set, otherwise no cover. All ages are welcome.

Paul + Marina = Non-Duo @ Sculpterra Winery | Paso Robles | CA | United States

Non Duo is Paul McCarty (from the great Wicked Saints) and the Russian singer-songwriter Marina Gutman. Paul is from New Orleans (the swamp of the south) and Marina is from Moldova (the swamp of Europe). Their musical influences — gypsy-russian and cajun-rock — mix into an eclectic stew of styles. Their life stories and world views mix into a wild, poetic, non-dualistic brew of lyrics. Genres vary from bluegrass to ballads to folk to rock to who-knows-what-that-is. But always a different and memorable melody with haunting vocal harmonies. http://nonduo1.com/ Songwriters At Play holds showcases every Sunday afternoon, 1-4 pm at Sculpterra Winery, 5015 Linne Road, Paso Robles, 805-226-8881.
