Planet Oregon is Soter Vineyard’s value brand and that relationship shines as it provides quality wines at very affordable price points with the 2019 Planet Oregon Pinot Noir carrying an average price point of $22.

2019 Planet Oregon Pinot Noir

The wine itself is 100% Oregon Pinot Noir made entirely from grapes grown in Willamette Valley. The wine was aged for 8 months in used French oak barrels.

Alcohol is at 13.4%

The 2019 Planet Oregon Pinot Noir Tasting Review

A fragrant mix of raspberries and strawberries with a subtle layer of pine. Aroma has a nice balance, with fruit, pine forest, and spring grasses, with a hint of rhubarb.

This is a classic Oregon Pinot Noir with flavors of fresh Bing cherries, tart cranberries, and Northwest strawberries. Lithe and versatile, this wine shows a firm core of bright acid complemented by subtle spice notes, balanced tannins, and a juicy finish.

While the 2019 vintage of Planet Oregon Pinot Noir is not rated yet, James Suckling gives the 2018 Planet Oregon Pinot Noir 90 points, and says, “this has a very, very bright array of fresh, juicy strawberries and raspberries, in lively mode with good tannin presence. Drink now…”
