On Saturday, July 20, America’s Hamburger Expert, George Motz, brings his Burger Pop-Up World Tour to Napa for the very first time. George will be slinging his famous signature griddled smash burgers in the Copia Gardens all evening long. At the end of the night, we’ll serve up a food-inspired free screening to kick-off Copia’s new Cinema Under the Stars Summer Series – more details coming soon!

TV Host, Emmy-Winning Filmmaker, Author and Chef, George Motz is America’s foremost hamburger expert. His meaty empire spans from his TV show, Burgerland on Travel Channel, to his books, such as The Great American Hamburger and Hamburger America as well as his film of the same name. Living in Brooklyn, he frequently appears on TV news programs and as host of numerous events, such as the Billion Oyster Party and annual multisensory sensation, The Food Film Festival …which he founded 13 years ago in New York City. Recently, he launched his bespoke hand-crafted professional grade product, the Smashula, a solid steel burger smasher weighing in at over 1 pound. There is currently a 100-person waitlist for the item.
In 2019, fans around the world are able to meet George and taste his signature hamburgers, which he perfected during his years of tasting, travel and research. From Brooklyn to Los Angeles, Sao Paulo to Paris and beyond, the pop-up tour continues to grow.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: You must be 21 years or older to purchase and consume alcohol. ID will be required. Advance ticket purchases are not required, but recommended. Food and beverage items will be sold on-site throughout the event. Tickets are not required for access to the live music performance or admission to the Cinema Under the Stars screening.
PARKING: There is parking in the lot directly outside of The CIA at Copia as well as across the street, but the lots can get crowded. Plan to arrive early or carpool. Uber and Lyft are good options too!
