Open Studios Napa Valley is a free, self-guided, art discovery tour which takes place on September 18, 2016. Joan Jakel Art Studio will be open to the public to meet the artist, check out her art and watch her demonstrate her artistic process from 10 – 5. We will also be celebrating women entrepreneurs all day.
12 – 3:00 p.m. Henna Tattoos – We have a very special Henna artist – Asha Cooper – who will be sharing her artistic Henna talents (donations and tips are accepted to help support her college dreams!)
12 – 3:30 Chiara Adorno, Chef and founder of Tender Fork Market Artisan Breads
Chiara will be serving her artisan breads. Chiara loves the craft and the magic of making breads, as they were made for many generations. “I love reviving the old traditions of bringing forth fantastic local foods, with great health benefits, great flavor, made through a slow, tried and true process, (definitely not the world of fast food or instant production) and doing things as they were done generations ago.”
12 – 4:00 Paula Harrell, owner and founder of P Harell Wines
Paula will be pouring her signature wines. As owner and founder, Paula developed P. Harrell Wines from a pure and unadulterated love for wine. “Being one of the very few African American women wine owners in the industry, I truly appreciate how wine culture so seamlessly intertwines people from all walks of life and bonds them in laughter, joy, and openness, while dissolving all barriers to genuine connection and relationship.”
