As the first and only family owned and operated winery and alambic charentais distillery in the United Sates, Charbay Distillery & Winery has its own unique place in Napa Valley history. On Friday, April 6 their portfolio of wine and spirits will pair with the culinary talents of Meritage’s Executive Chef Ryan Rupp for a memorable evening in Wine Country.
Live music and The Meritage Resort’s grand Estate Cave, located 40 feet underground, will serve as the backdrop for this exceptional evening while 13th generation Winemaker and Master Distiller, Marko Karakasevic, will share his passion for spirits, wine and his family’s rich history as an early pioneer in the modern American artisan distillery movement. Based in Napa Valley, the family lives and works amidst peaceful pine trees on Spring Mountain above St. Helena – affectionately known as “The Still on the Hill”.
