His lifelong passion for wine began as a child, growing up above the cellars and within view of the centuries-old vineyards of Château du Clos Vougeot, the epicenter and birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Jean-Charles leads the family firm with passionate commitment to fine wine, history, quality and a deep respect for the environment. He implemented organic and Biodynamic farming at all of the family’s estate vineyards in Burgundy and California.
The Boisset Collection’s distinguished portfolio of wines in the U.S. includes Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma, DeLoach Vineyards in the Russian River Valley, Raymond Vineyards in Napa Valley, Wattle Creek Winery in Alexander Valley and JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset, and its destinations at The Ritz Carlton and Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco, and in Yountville, St. Helena, and the Russian River Valley, as well as Lyeth Estate (Sonoma County) and Lockwood Vineyard (Monterey).
