Learn from The Meritage Resort’s culinary team during three cooking classes throughout September. Each class will teach different skills in the kitchen and focus on providing the skills needed to create and plate a beautiful and tasty meal.
Classes are available individually or you can take them all.
Dessert-Pastry: Sunday, September 24, 2017 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This class, led by our pastry chef, will impart some of the best tips and tricks to create delicious and decadent desserts from the best batter to the perfect icing and more as you create eclairs and Boston cream cupcakes. Sip on sparkling wine (or cider) throughout and enjoy your creations during this fun, interactive experience. Age 10 and over recommended.
Pasta: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Handmade pasta is always a treat and provides the wow factor for family dinners around the holidays or a meal with friends. This hands-on class will give you the skills and knowledge needed to prepare two different types of pastas and three types of sauces. With these foundational skills, you will be able to make dishes that inspire compliments from all of your guests. Taste pasta and sauces throughout while enjoying some of our favorite wines to pair with pasta dishes. Ages 18 and over recommended.
Seafood: Friday, September 29 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This class will teach you to breakdown and clean a fish, make poke, and provided cooking techniques for the perfect sear. You will also learn to BBQ oysters and create both hot and cold seafood appetizers. Enjoy the day as you taste your creations throughout while sipping on sparkling wine. Ages 18 and over recommended.
Price $50 per person, per class, $125 for all three classes
