Denver CO native Megan Burtt taught herself to play her Dad’s guitar, inspired by Joni Mitchell’s Blue album, and Bonnie Raitt’s Nick of Time. She attended Boston’s Berklee School of Music, moved to Mississippi to investigate the roots of American blues music, and picked up songwriting awards at the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival and Kerrville New Folk Competition. Her second album, The Bargain, charts her recovery from a serious illness, with songs that move from darkness to light, with lyrics full of revealing insights into the difficulties we all face. Here’s a link to a video of one of the songs from The Bargain, where Megan is accompanied by The Colorado Symphony. https://youtu.be/4DIJXB_OF-k
