The Anarchists have arrived… But, our wine revolution has room for more. Join us to celebrate the official launch of the Anarchist Wine Co at our Napa Tasting Room on Saturday, April 6th from 1pm until 4pm.
Instead of raising fists, we’ll raise glasses to toast the release of our 2017 Anarchist over lawn games and the dyeing of cloth based propoganda with Philip’s deranged spin-art machine. Attendees will explore barrel samples and subvert the dominant pink paradigm with sneak peeks of our 2018 Rosé Against the Machine and 2018 Guns & Rosé.
Anarchist Wine Co. With our unique approach to crafting custom wines at The Wine Foundry, we were committed to having our new brand reflect something new and fresh as well. We initially looked toward disruptors and free thinkers who shape the way we think and experience the world.
We know the name “Anarchist” can have negative connotations. That’s not where we draw inspiration. Instead we embrace individuals and events that move and shape the trajectory of human history. Following suit, for the Anarchist, we’ve opted to step away from tradition to explore new varietal combinations. For example, we loved the clarity of Chenin Blanc, but wanted to deliver additional depth and complexity to the nose. Toward that end, for our inaugural vintage of The Anarchist we had the idea of co-fermenting Chenin Blanc with Gewurztramier and Riesling in stainless steel and inhibiting malolactic conversion. From there, the winemaking team continued to tinker and tweak. The manifesto has now grown to 9 wines.
