Tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/agricultural-fire-relief-lets-support-farmers-laborers-tickets-39679860531 Join us for an evening of eating, drinking and raising money for farmers and laborers that have lost income, crops and property in the North Bay fires. We’ll have multiple food and drink stations, live music and a silent auction. Let’s celebrate our local agricultural community and raise some dough for recovery efforts! In addition to raising funds, we’d like to use the evening to raise awareness of the importance of labor for our agriculture system to survive. Many immigrant laborers lost jobs and homes during the fires and then faced confusion of where to go for help amongst fears of ICE and documentation issues. Even prior to the fires, farmers struggled to find labor due to fear, misunderstandings and mixed signals among the immigrant community around documentation and work permits. We, as eaters, need to support our farmers. And in turn, through our support, the farmers can help the immigrant communities stay safe and thrive. And that will keep our food system strong! Thanks to Bauman College for hosting, and the myriad chefs, caterers, restaurants, wineries, breweries and farms that are donating time, food and energy to support our local food systems. Their generosity allows every cent raised to go directly to UndocuFund and The North Bay Fire Relief Fund set up by The Farmers Guild and CAFF. If you are able to donate time, money or materials to this event, please please please be in touch – we welcome any and all assistance. Email Willow at email@example.com
