Done in the same Crusher & Stemmer low acidity/sausages-on-the-grill-red style.

Production Notes
This vintage was made using 4 extra-strong varietals instead of 9.
70% Merlot, 20% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Sirah.
Merlot (plum, cherry & black tea) lends structure, suppleness, elegance, balance, finesse, mouthfeel and personality - think West Coast St Emilion.
Syrah (boysenberry jam, bacon, black pepper, smoke & graphite) adds color, mouthfeel, suppleness and tempers the herbaceousness of the Bordeaux varietals.
Cabernet Sauvignon (cassis) lends structure, heft, an almost truffle quality and a dust component - by itself this component is too monolithic & one-dimensional.
Petite Sirah (spiced plum) also tempers the herbaceousness while adding some guts, spice, earthy agricultural elements and "age" to the final blend (the sum of red Bordeaux varietals plus Petite Sirah always tastes and seems more mature together than individually).
Let it breathe for 30 minutes before serving...

Yummy wine! Just what I need after a hard day of selling comics! At first taste I knew I wanted a case of this wine. Now that it is an International Silver Medalist I hope I can still get a bottle! I highly recommend this wine!
