Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The vineyards were developed within easy reach of both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans on the historic Hartenberg Estate in a well-known wine-growing region of South Africa. The vines are situated in a location ideal for slow ripening of quality grapes, with a differentiated day/night temperature scale from ocean breezes at an altitude of 120 to 350 meters above sea level. Handpicked and sorted, then aged 19 months in French oak. Rigorous barrel sampling by an expert team, including the Mandela family, yielded a limited selection of this fine wine.
