The 2008 was produced from premium grapes grown in the Rutherford region of Napa Valley. The wine is silky smooth with flavors of cherry and blueberry intertwined with hints of vanilla and dried herbs. A customer top rated favorite year after year.
Tasting Notes
Vibrant fruit aromas with a touch of warm spice. Fruit forward with silky smooth tannins and flavors of cherry and blueberry intertwined with hints of vanilla and dried herbs. A round mouthfeel and clean finish.
Fabulous alongside roasted or grilled lamb, this Merlot matches well with recipes that make use of herbs and mint. Brie and Manchego cheese are also good pairing ideas.
Vineyard Notes
Blended at Rutherford Ranch with fruit from Napa Valley and a cross-section of California appellations, our flagship Merlot includes a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) and Zinfandel (1%), resulting in plump aromas and flavors of black and red plums, red cherry notes and an earthy under-layer.
