The 2005 Poggio del Papa blends the intense, bright fruit flavors of Sangiovese with the rich, dark fruit character found in the estate Cabernet. By using 50% new French oak we allow the oak character to complement the deep flavors Flora Springs works so hard to promote in their grapes. The subtle oak character gives these flavors direction through the palate, producing a long and lingering finish that fills the entire mouth.
