Produced from Argentina's most emblematic grape, this Torrontés is a deeply aromatic golden-colored white wine exhibiting floral notes of candied peaches and roses. Flavors of tropical fruits flood the mouth like a torrent with an extra zing of spice and acidity on the finish. With good balance and body, it is ideal as an apertif or the perfect match for fresh seafood. Serve chilled.
When we consider crafting a new wine at Winetasting.com we take many factors into consideration. We obviously want to bring you a wine of great value and quality, but we take the opportunity to introduce you to varietals that you may not have otherwise considered on your own. Hence, our new Torrontés from Argentina.
Think of a Torrontés as a cross between a Gewürztraminer and a Viognier. This light, easy-drinking wine has the floral aromatics reminiscent of Gewürztraminer and the exotic fruit character of Viognier, with a refreshing and crispy finish. Made from Argentina's most widely planted white grape, Torrontés is gaining a cult-like following among wine drinkers and will only grow in popularity once more the more adventurous taste it. Forget the Chardonnay or other run-of-the-mill white wines; this is a completely new taste experience. If you’re looking for an elegant alternative to pair with fish, seafood, and spicy, aromatic Latin and Asian foods, 2545 Cellars Torrontés is your answer.
Bronze, 2010 World Wine Championships:
"Pale gold straw color. Nuanced aromas lavender soap, orange and peach preserves, and coconut gelato with a dry-yet-fruity medium body and a salty nut and slate accented finish. A good quaffer, serve a nice chill." (11/08/2010)

I did not like this at all!! It was much too floral. I really can not stand to drink it at all. I am going to give away the other 2 bottles I have. It is like drinking perfume..
