Our 2008 Napa Valley Sangiovese is a deep garnet color. Perfumed aromas of raspberries, black cherries, lilacs, and rose petals. Chewy currant core on the mid-palate, accented by chocolate and hints of sandalwood.

Here’s a U.S. Sangiovese that makes sense, at last. That’s because it truly resembles an Italian Sangiovese in that it’s earthy, with dark red fruit. The wine is soft and bold, all at the same time, with substantial, chewy, delicious fruit; and the finish simply lingers for a while. Drink it over the next 3-5 years and have it with pasta with red sauces.
