From Spelletich Cellars, a 2006 Reserve Merlot, created under the direction of Barb Spelletich, Winemaker/Owner. Barb has been described as a “wonderful blender.” She believes in gentle winemaking, utliizing cooler fermentations to preserve the fruit flavors.
From Ziata Winery, a 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, created under the direction of Karen Cakebread, Owner/Founder. Karen has been representing Napa for 22 years, and has worked tirelessly to promote its vintners. Ziata Wines, which officially launched in 2008, is named in honor of Karen’s mother.
From Robert Mondavi Winery, a Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2006, a complex wine with a 96 point rating, created under the direction of Genevieve Janssens. In 2010, Ms. Janssens has received one of the industry’s highest honors, when she was named Wine Enthusiast’s 2010 Winemaker of the Year.
From Revana Family Vineyard, a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, created under the direction of Heidi Barrett. Known as the “First Lady of Wine”, she was responsible for the creation of Screaming Eagle (from 1992 to 2006), Dalla Valle Maya, and the Dalla Valle Cabernets in the late 80s and early 90s.
