The Howell Mountain is intense and powerful, as you would expect from fruit grown on rugged Howell Mountain. It is a terroir or vineyard wine as it reflects the personality of an individual vineyard.

Bright red fruit and a wonderful hint of nutmeg is just the tip of the iceberg in this aromatic explosion.

Starmont’s 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet is dark red with good density with sweet aromas of red and black currants, brambly blackberry jam, black olive, dried herbs and violets.  This wine has a soft entry, round with medium weight, toasty oak notes, and very good length.

Soft and rich, with layers of red cherry, raspberry, cola, caramel, and a hint of Asian spice, this impressively silky, deeply colored and full-bodied wine is aged in 100% French oak, which adds an elegant toasty vanilla character. 

Silky tannins evolving on blackberry, black cherry and grenadine, lingering on very ripe tannins with touches of spices and cigar.

Aromas of blueberries, black olives and aged beef with underlying oak and toast notes. Explosive black cherry, licorice and light toasty smoke in the mouth.

Deep color, broad rich mid-palate, Damson plums, Queen Anne cherries, baking spices, and flintiness from the vineyard’s rocky, mineral-laden subsoils.
